Alice Casimiro Lopes

Alice Casimiro Lopes completed her PhD in Education from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1996. She was approved as full professor of the Faculty of Education of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and is a procientist in this same institution. He has been a scientist of our FAPERJ state since 2009 and a CNPq productivity scholar since 1998, now with Level 1 B. She served as coordinator of the Graduate Program in Education (Proped) from January 2008 to July 2012. She served as coordinator of the National Forum of Graduate programs in education in 2011-2012. She is managing editor of the journal Transnational Curriculum Inquiry, Journal of the International Association for the Advancement of Curriculum Studies (IAACS), and worked or has worked as a member of the editorial board of: Journal of Education Policy, Revista Brasileira de Educação, Educação e Realidade, Educação e Sociedade, among others. She was a member of the program Evaluation Committee at Capes in the period of 2002-2004. She was an alternate member of the CA Educação do CNPq from December 2012 to June 2013 and a member of this committee from August 2014 to June 2016. Her research is funded by CNPq, Capes and Faperj. She is the director of the Department of Education for Graduates (DEPG) at the Sub-rectory of graduate and research of UERJ since January 2016, member of the managing group of Capes PrInt Uerj and representative of the State universities-UERJ at the Superior Council of FAPERJ, where she serves as vice President of the Council.
