This project seeks to deepen the understanding of curriculum policy in a post-foundational and post-structural framework, operating with the deconstruction of the sedimented representations: quality of curriculum, educated subject, good school, good teaching, legitimized or powerful knowledge, and curriculum for the future, among other representations that guide the curriculum policy. Particularly in this research, the current Brazilian basic education policy is investigated, highlighting those directed to the high school level. This level has the character of terminality, it is strongly built by the student training project (the subject who will change the world, the emancipated subject, the citizen, the professional and many other discourses associated with the social project of education). Curriculum documents – signed by the MEC or by consultants officially invited – are investigated to be, but also the academic productions that present curriculum guidelines / theories / proposals for policy. This project is linked directly to the project Interdisciplinary Studies in Theory of Discourse, supported under the bilateral program Faperj / CONICET (see abstract in www.proped.pro.br). It is through the centrality of the political, criticizing fixed social grounds, that the theory of discourse has been incorporated into education and more central to the curriculum field. Such incorporation has taken place questioning of the very foundations of the educational project of modernity, because we think that this project causes significant impasses in order to understand the educational purposes. The ongoing projects of Master and PhD students linked to this research focus on Brazilian basic education, teacher training, school curriculum, the curriculum of school subjects, focusing on curriculum policy and discursive approaches, always valuing the dimensions antagonistic, undecidable and indeterminate, because contingent, of politics/policies.
